Why Mental Skills Training?

Over the last decade, researchers, players, and coaches alike have accepted a more holistic approach to Improving an athlete's performance. Research shows that not only does mental skills training promote optimal athletic performance but It also Improves the athlete's quality of life.

Caroline Weppner, MA, earned her undergraduate degree in Communications, with a double minor in Business Administration and Psychology, from Louisiana State University. She graduated in 2021 with her master’s degree in Psychological Sciences from The Catholic University of America, where she worked in the Sport and Mindfulness lab under the supervision of Dr. Carol Glass. She is currently in her third year in the Counseling Psychology Ph.D. program at The University of Texas at Austin and works specifically with collegiate students to understand and cope with their stress.

Caroline has presented numerous award-winning posters at conferences across the United States, including the Association of Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies and the Association of Applied Sport Psychology. In addition to sports research, she has coached tennis at all levels, including pee-wees, juniors, and adults, but most recently as the Graduate Assistant Coach at The Catholic University of America in Washington, DC. 

Caroline's dedication to athletes and their success runs deep. She played numerous sports growing up and was a four-star tennis recruit in highschool, ranking top 100 in the nation. She was also a five-time individual tennis state champion, six-time individual tennis region champion, and a letter-winner LSU Women's Tennis player.
